IT'S A BOY!

Joshua "Sawyer" Bradshaw was born Monday, April 20, 2009 at 1:56 PM. He weighed 8 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 1/2 inches long. We're so excited to welcome this new addition to our family! I'm sorry this post is so late but for those with more than 1 child, you know how difficult it is to find any spare time! And this post will be quick too...have to go feed Sawyer in a few minutes! I just wanted to update everyone who follows our blog. Sawyer is doing great...he still has a slight jaundice problem and we've been taking him back and forth to the doctor to get bloodwork to see if it's going down any. The latest is that I had to stop breastfeeding and offer formula because it may be my breastmilk that's making the jaundice worse. Anyway, we should get the results from this morning's test in an hour or so.

Kaylen is doing great with her baby brother. She definitely LOVES him and wants to be near him all the time. She wants to hold him, hug him, kiss him, rock him, and help out with everything else. BUT she's still too rough! We definitely have to keep her away when he's in the swing! She'll push him so hard he may fly out! Kaylen definitely is getting jealous though! She still doesn't quite understand why this little boy is taking up Mommy & Daddy's time. She especially gets jealous at bedtime and cries! She hasn't done that since she was a baby herself! Anyway, we know that over time, it will get easier for her. We just both have to set aside time to spend with her daily to make sure she still feels loved!

I'm taking 8 weeks off from work...will go back mid-June. I will have Kaylen at home with me and Sawyer so pray that this works out for us!
